CLIMATE CHANGE ARTIST STATEMENT
The image of the sculpture is a symbol of motherhood; a woman holding a child in her hands, periodically engulfed in flames. The woman represents Mother Earth, as the child represents humankind and the flame represents the extreme climate that human beings will have to face, as if human beings are already at the point of death. This art work reminds us that, as children of Mother Earth, we need to take care of our environment and focus on climate change, as everyone on this planet should indeed do something to protect the environment.
