GREEN QUOTE OF THE DAY

"Why are we being forced to choose between the economy and the environment? We tend to forget that without an environment we would not have an economy, as everything we consume and I mean everything comes from our environment."

~ Franke James (contemporary artist, photographer, writer)

Trash to Art Transformation" at GtB'5

GtB Official Banner Creation

(One Person's Trash Is Another Person's Art Project)

We Want Your Waste!

Green the Beige

Dear Green Friends in Beijing,

Help us save energy and divert waste from our city's overflowing landfills!

On Saturday, December 10, Greening the Beige is presenting an exciting eco-art project! Focusing on the issue of waste management, we’re calling all Beijingers to help create an official GtB event banner made entirely out of used materials.

GtB Art Project at the R&S Annual Summit

A little box with a garbage monster:)

In advocacy of creative green spirit, GtB will make a new version of its eco-artastic Garbage Cube for this year's Roots and Shoots Annual Summit.

Initially, we came up with some excellent ideas, such as using a giant paper box to build a garbage "mountain" and placing garbage monsters on it. However, this plan was limited because of the lack of materials - Jessica and Devin had been to many places that may have these cardboard boxes, but none of them offered to donate materials.

New Green Concept: The Vertical Garden!!!(环保新理念:立体花园)

The Living Wall @ Capital Normal University High School

It was really Go For Green’s fortune to meet Carissa and Stella at Green Drinks. The activity they held, building The Vertical Garden - "Living Wall", introduced me to a completely new concept of recycling! Also, I consider knowing the organization and being one of the members as a type of turning point for my greening attitude.
