Green Themed Park Opens in Beijing

Has Beijing become more aware of 'living green'? Apparently it has. A newly opened "Green" Theme Park has been opened in Beijing. Located northeast of the Bird's Nest, the environment-themed park covers 20,000 square meters and features five indoor halls including Noah's Ark, which highlights interaction between nature and human beings, Glass Hall, Art of Regeneration Hall, Paper Hall and Gifts Hall.

March 5th is officially the day marked to celebrate Lei Feng, the Chinese soldier who was known for his selfless deeds in helping others and died a tragic death at a young age only to be venerated as a national hero when his diary was suddenly discovered. Therefore, every year on March 5th, Chinese, mainly students, are told to celebrate the spirit of Lei Feng by doing certain charitable works around their city.

On January 12th, disaster struck the poorest nation in the western hemisphere, when a 7.0 level earthquake razed the Haitian capital of Port-Au-Prince. As the death toll skyrockets and with access to basic necessities still scarce, Haiti is in dire need of funds for both the immediate relief, as well as towards rebuilding.

This February 3rd, at 7:30 PM we’re inviting you to come over to Yugong Yishan to enjoy a very special night of music and dancing, with all the ticket proceeds going directly to those in need!

Ecosia: The Green Search Engine

Ever imagine saving the rain forest while you're searching online?

The Ecosia search engine is based on technology from Yahoo and Bing, which will provide the search results and sponsored links for the site. But unlike conventional search engines, the company has pledged to donate at least 80% of the income it generates from sponsored links to WWF rainforest protection projects in Brazil's Amazonas region.

GREEN T. HOUSE Living will host Champagne Charity Shopping Bazaar in their chic yet serene venue. This event will be held on December 9th starting from 11am until the day ends. This charity event is held to raise money for the development of rural women who come to the city looking for work but need to learn skills to be successful in their new lives.

They will have a wonderful array of shopping, music, snacks all day long ending with a "recycled" fashion show and Jazz Martini Happy hour!
