A party for sustainable fashion that never goes out of style: Vintage, Recycled, Organic, Renewable, Slow, Faux, Lasting. It’s survival of the fashionably fit.

In 2010 Greening the Beige will invite a series of favorite local designers and retailers to showcase their green goodies throughout the year, starting this Spring season.

For the first time ever, on Thursday, March 11th, Greening the Beige (GtB) & Acupuncture Records (AR) will present “Eco=Chic”; a monthly evening mingling party for green scenesters and other environmentally conscious snappy lookers.

Joining the green fashion movement this year is China’s very own electronic music label, Acupuncture Records. The recording label will expand its artistic endeavors by launching a new line of fashion accessories in March, starting with 环包 (environmental protection) wallets, made by upcycling their old event flyers and posters.

Helping to launch the new AR fashion accessory line (inspired by the concept of minimalism) GtB is calling all fashion-forward-fashionistas for an honorary cause - TRASHION! Enhance your green style by adding-in a bit of "trash"! Show us “who’s the greenest of them all” in Beijing – and let us reward you for being an Eco-Fashion Hero!

All guests dressed in their finest enviro-threads will enjoy 1 complimentary cocktail, plus have a chance to enter the “Gorgeous-n-Green Competition”. The contest will help GtB search for the most consciously thought out, eco-smarty pants, skirts, shoes, boots, hats, scarves, gloves, etc, put together!

Interested Gorgeous-n-Green contestants entering Lantern before 11:30 pm will be captured by our photographers + receive 1 free drink; all photos will go on display in our *soon-to-be-re-vamped* photo gallery here at -- www.greeningthebeige.org.

Open public polling from March 13th – 28th will decide who is the most Gorgeous-n-Green (1st, 2nd, and 3rd place). Winners will receive select green-couture gifts from each designer featured at Eco=Chic.

Eco=Chic will open the evening with a "Trashion Forum" from 9pm – 9:30pm. All are welcome to join and enjoy a premiere peek at the “recycled-fresh trashion” AR accessories, in addition to the latest green items from GtB’3 eco-fashion trashion designers D-Sata by CuR and Recycled XL.

Special promotional discounts of up to 25% are available on all merchandise displayed at Eco=Chic + 10% of all 环包 wallets go towards the GtB'10 Eco-Fashion show this Fall.

Whether you’re “green” or not -- if you eat, sleep, and breathe fashion, you’re definitely invited to join us for this special occasion and check out some of the capital’s exclusive sustainable “must haves”. 一个具有可持续发展性并具永恒性的风尚派对:复古、再利用、有机、重复使用、减缓、人造和持久的。适者生存。从 2010年春季开始，点废成绿将邀请一系列当地最受欢迎的设计师和零售商通过一年的时间来展示他们的环保作品和 商品。参加今年此次绿色时尚运动的是中国知名电子音乐厂牌，针刺疗法。唱片公司将在三月份，从重回收再利用 旧活动海报来制作环包(环保)钱包开始，通过推出一个新的时尚配饰系列来扩展其在艺术事业及环保理念上的努力。

此次活动时间为3月11日，星期四，点废成绿（GtB）和针刺疗法(AR)将首次推出“生态=优 雅”; 这是每个月为环保文化爱好者和其他关注环保的时尚人士举办的晚会。协助发展新的针刺 疗法（AR）时尚配饰系列 (灵感源于简约概念)。点废成绿（GtB）正在为一个以‘变废为尚’的 荣誉性目标呼吁所有时尚前瞻人士——让我们增强你的绿色环保品味! 告诉大家：“谁是北京
最环保的”——并且让我们奖励你。拿出一些旧的东西来让我们给它们换新颜吧。

（www.greeningthebeige.org）并在3月13-28号进行公众投票。一、二、三及四等奖获奖者都会获得设计师们在 “生态=优雅”中设计的绿色环保服装。
