Announcing Ford Motors annual CEGC awards that distribute grants to worthwhile environmentally focused projects across China. We are raising awareness of the opportunity for great projects to win grants to go towards continuing their great work in everything from grass roots communication projects to agenda changing sustainability NGOs. We would like to reach NGOs, not for profits, schools and university networks and there is an opportunity for all sorts of organisations and also individuals to benefit from this funding so please pass the word to anyone you might think relevant. It was 40 years ago that the very first EARTH DAY became an official holiday, gathering 20 million US Citizens in parks, streets, and auditoriums to demonstrate for a healthy, sustainable environment. Today the annual celebration is recognized worldwide in 184 countries. In honor of this special anniversary and global holiday, Greening the Beige & Acupuncture Records invite you to celebrate Vintage at Eco=Chic. Showcasing local boutiques and unique vintage outlets in Beijing, MEGA MEGA VINTAGE & WILLOW WILLOW, all guests will be able to learn a bit of history behind the made to last designs featured at the Eco=Chic:Vintage fashion show. In addition to promotional retail sales, everyone is welcome to shop and swap old goodies at the Green Garage Sale from 9pm to 1am - with a special FREEGAN hour from 1 - 2am. All leftover clothes will be used for the next installment of Eco=Chic... *Note that this is an exercise for you to clean out your closet...or at least help someone else clean out their closet* Beijing Improv Presents Experience art and performance like never before! The Beijing Improv Interactive Arts Festival brings together Beijing's top local and international artists to create pieces inspired entirely by your suggestions! The festival consists of two days of workshops and performances and promises to be the most enjoyable, hilarious and spontaneous weekend of the year. | ||
