GREEN QUOTE OF THE DAY

"Why are we being forced to choose between the economy and the environment? We tend to forget that without an environment we would not have an economy, as everything we consume and I mean everything comes from our environment."

~ Franke James (contemporary artist, photographer, writer)

联 合 国 大 会 宣 布 2010 年

"Textile Dreams" lies at the crossroads of traditional handicrafts and art. It is the expression of a fruitful encounter between an artist and a group of women. Wen Fang, a young Chinese artist committed to social advancement, decided to help the development of The Hundred Flowers Magaozhuang, a handicraft cooperative created under the aegis of Femmes du Ningxia.

Hi everyone,

The end of the month is creeping up very quickly, and that means only one thing - its time to ride again :-)

This Friday night we are trying something different and organizing a ride outside of the centre of the city. We will ride from 798 to Red Gate Gallery's Open Studio Exhibition in Beigao. It is only a short 5 km ride and there will be some interesting art to greet you at the other end. A BBQ will be set up so please bring along some of your own food for barbecuing or some snacks as you will most likely be hungry after the ride.
