Second to this is the fact that many of these roads meander through some spectacular rock formations and valleys. We seek the places beyond the normal “go-to” tourist destinations choosing not only stunning locations but peaceful and safe.

Innovative forms of collective engagement, long-term integrated strategies and sheer computer power offer urban sustainability fresh opportunities.
This month's projects introduce incentives and ideas that start to break down the brutal top-down market-driven planning of the contemporary Chinese city.
The goal: a hybrid of large-scale and intricate development, of embedded technology and natural systems, of rigid green boundaries and continuously evolving urban spaces.
