Beijing's landfills are getting full fast! Reduce the "trash" you throw away by purchasing products with minimal packaging. Look for reusable, recyclable, and biodegrable items and remember to carry your reusable shopping bags!
If you’ve neglected spring cleaning this year, or your wardrobe needs refreshing, bag up those unwanted garments and prepare them for the Shanghai Closet Swap on October 22 at The Apartment. Gently-used clothing and accessories (no athletic wear) for men, women and children of all ages are welcome, but all items must be dropped off prior to the event at William the BeeKeeper, 84 Fenyang Road, near Fuxing Lu, Luwan district between October 5-19.
If you can't make it to the event, clothing donations are also accepted, and these, in addition to any leftovers from the swap, will be given to the River of Hearts Foundation. The entrance fee, which includes one cocktail, is 50RMB. A brunch for guests in the VIP lounge will begin at 12pm, followed by the swap from 1:30-4pm. Shoppers don’t have to stop after the swap as indie designers will also be featuring their newest collections at the site.
