GREEN QUOTE OF THE DAY

"Why are we being forced to choose between the economy and the environment? We tend to forget that without an environment we would not have an economy, as everything we consume and I mean everything comes from our environment."

~ Franke James (contemporary artist, photographer, writer)

Pecha Kucha Night, devised by Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham (Klein Dytham architecture), was conceived in 2003 as a place for young designers to meet, network and show their work in public. Only five years later, Pecha Kucha Night has spread virally already to more than 200 cities across the world.

The principles for each Pecha Kucha are the same: The speakers are allowed to showcase 20 images, each shown for 20 seconds - giving a total presentation time of 6 minutes and 40 seconds of fame before the next presenter is up. This keeps the presentations concise and the interest level up - more people have the chance to show their work.

Pecha Kucha Night in Beijing is founded and organised by Sebastian Linack, Florian Pucher, Xiao Fen and Nicky Meng.

With drinks, dance and the newest ideas in the same room at the same time, who knows what will happen!

DIRECTIONS TO STUDIO X:
