ABCDJ Patrick Yu
www.myspace.com/therealpatrickyu
One of Patrick's many goals here in Beijing is to help develop an electronic music scene not in a commercial sense, but in a solid, quality filled manner that can spill into, and hopefully control a commercial scene. The rate at which Beijing is transforming allows for many different influences to push it towards many different possible directions. Patrick's just trying to push it in the direction he thinks is right! It's not necessarily going to be house music that defines this city, but Patrick thinks that by doing his part to increase the influx of quality house beats, it's possible to push others in other genres, along with those into house, into a more deep, thoroughly thought realm of music and overall taste. Since the very beginning of GtB, Patrick Yu has contributed his positive energy and has shared his HOUSE MUSIC resources for us all to enjoy!

China’s first and only electronic dance music label, Acupuncture Records, was launched in 2007. Since their inception, Acupuncture Records has assembled China's best DJs, VJs, producers and party promoters who have originated and helped groom China's flourishing electronic music scene.
Acupuncture Records loves Beijing so much that they hate to think they won't be able to stay in the city when they're old because of pollution. DJ ELVIS.T has Rhinitis, and was really suffering when he first came to Beijing because of the bad air. Everyone can benefit from a cleaner, greener city, that's why everyone should participate.
Closing the final event for GtB '3, Acupuncture DJs WengWeng, Elvis.T, and friends will heal the Eco-Fashion Runway, performance stage, and dancefloor with green beats ~ ~ Saturday, November 28, at CNEX Salon, Warehouse 1 (Image Base).

Chen Fei has more recently taken the initiative to explore the potential of incorporating original Mask designs of her own creation in the fields of contemporary dance, physical theatre and experimental drama. Cinema and photography are also mediums which she has further experimented in seeking to redefine and renew the traditional roles of Mask representation in the fine arts & challenge with her distinct and original creations heavily influenced by Commedia Dell’Arte.
For this exhibition the artist intends to effect a spatial creation wherein her Masks confront one another and the spectator in a unique installation process. Her older paintings which draw inspiration from natural elements and textural compositions shall complement the exhibition in addition to the installation.

MOLLY'S CHANDLERY
http://www.myspace.com/mollyschandlery
Chris Yew (Molly’s Chandlery) is an acoustic singer-songwriter who creates jaunty ballads and jittery folk in a style compared with Devendra Banhart, Joni Mitchell and Fionn Regan. Originally from London, the city and its characters are often the subject of his haunting vocals and colourful finger-picking. Keen on participating in an event that is focused on making a difference in Beijing and on a much wider scale, he thinks Greening the Beige has these objectives and would like to offer his music to support their cause.

During the period of the GREAT BEIJING GAMES in 2008 Beijing was a city in expectation of the thousands of visitors who had bought tickets to see great sporting achievements. The city underwent many changes and transformed into a lush oasis as mature trees suddenly appeared erected along roadsides and flower beds sprung up everywhere.
2008年,在北京举办的奥运会吸引了成千上万来自世界各地的参观者。而这个城市也悄悄地发生着改变,成年的大树突然出现在道路两侧,而美丽的鲜花也在城市的各个地方灿烂地盛开。
In Maizidian, an area between the highly ex-pat populated Sanlitun and Chaoyang Park where the Beach Volley Ball was hosted, little islands of flowers suddenly appeared. Contained inside white plastic picket fencing, they represented a desire to brighten the area and bring something of nature to an acutely urban environment.

Willow Willow
http://www.willowwillow.net
Twenty-eight year old fashion designer, Alicia Lee's independent label WillowWillow and studio (formerly NOISE shop) was found in 2008 at Sanlitun. With the concept of high-quality original design for young people, WillowWillow contains three sections—the ready-to-wear collection, original couture service, and limited edition tees—which all target young fashionable professionals, among which a lot are designers of different fields and upcoming actresses. Besides that, you can also find cool little goodies like toys, interesting books, stickers, postcards, jewelries, etc. With a young, playful yet sophisticated heart, Alicia has created fashion collections such as “Hero of the Forest and Lord of the Opera” and “Lost in Peach Blossom Land”, which all showed a unique perspective of culture and the experimentations of high-tech natural fibers. The new collection with the theme “the Cube” creates a magical world of cubes--a surreal world with no color but transformation of forms, a story about geometric reveries amidst ultimate loneliness. GtB'3 is honored to show this collection on the runway for the 1st time ever on November 28, at the 3rd Annual Greening the Beige Eco-Fashion Show!!
(Zack Jiang)
Originally born in Beijing, Zack Jiang grew up along opposing coasts of United States for much of his life, influenced heavily by the nature of the Appalachians and the California coastline. Seeking a medium between personal sanity and self-propelled creations, his project is rooted in his personal fulfillment in biking and an interest in pushing social thinking towards sustainable designs. By presenting bamboo bikes in a physical format for Beijing and China Zack aims to rewire the cultural acceptance of bamboo from historic uses (brooms, clothing poles and scaffolding) to allow acceptance of new forms of product design.
