点废成绿 Greening the Beige (GtB) is an eco-minded arts collective and not-for-profit community network dedicated to nurturing awareness of environmental issues. 点废成绿 GtB promotes and celebrates earth friendly artists and organizations in Beijing.

Beijing's landfills are getting full fast! Reduce the "trash" you throw away by purchasing products with minimal packaging. Look for reusable, recyclable, and biodegrable items and remember to carry your reusable shopping bags!
2010 VOLUNTEER EXTRAORDINAIRES NEEDED:
Greening the Beige is currently looking for passionate members of the community to dedicate their time towards greening the city of Beijing through creative means. GtB aims to continue furthering one of its most important goals; that is to "connect all the green dots" in Beijing, bringing together a large cross-section of the green community.
'点废成绿'GtB是由民间自发成立的组织；自创办之日起，即以一种志愿者形式开展各类活动。但是，'点废成绿'将继续信守我们的目标，那就是我们 要连接北京所有的绿色组织，组建一个大型的跨区域绿色社团。
Since forming, GtB has been a completely volunteer, grass-roots set-up, so unfortnately no financial compensation is available for participants donating their time and energy.

However, by becoming involved with Greening the Beige, participants will have a chance to meet and work with other environmental non-profit groups and organizations, artists, and many other members of the community that support environmental awareness, education, and sustainability.

The following positions are open for the GtB 2010 event series:

Co-Director (1 person)Assist with planning and management of event. Guide and support management team and other areas of organization. 总监（1名）：协助活动的规划和管理工作；指导和支持管理团队及其他各部门的工作。
Funding Director (2 people)Research and apply for organizational funding. 资金筹措负责人（2名）：调研并为GtB申请活动资金支持。
Event Manager (5 people)Supervise event activities and corresponding venue needs. Manage participant relationships and event logistics. Confirm final event schedule and activities. 活动项目负责人（5名）：负责指导活动内容和活动地点的选择，对活动参与人员进行管理及相关物流管理，最终活动安排的确认。
Web Master (Ilsa McBryde)Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the website.Offer suggestions for improvement and enhancement. 网站管理员（Ilsa McBryde）负责网站维护，并提出改进加强意见。
Design Team (2 people)Design invitations, announcements, flyer and poster art for events. Contribute support and feedback for website design. 设计人员（2名）：负责设计活动邀请函、告示、宣传单页、艺术海报；并为网站设计提供支持和反馈意见。
Public Relations (1-2 people)Handle all areas of communication with the media and public. Create, distribute, and follow-up with press releases and other public event invitations and activities. 公关人员（1-2名）：负责与外界媒体及公众的沟通；新闻稿件及其他相关公众活动的撰写、发布并跟踪。
Translators (4 people)Provide English or Chinese translation for written documents or spoken events/meetings/activities.翻译（4名）：负责书面文件的中英文翻译，以及相关活动/会议的口头中英文翻译。
Accountant (2 people)Record expense and income data. Produce financial reports and statements. 会计（2人）：负责纪录日常支出及收入帐目；并出具年度财务报告和说明。
Interns (12+)Support the particular needs of each office
described above. 实习生（12名）：为各部门提供相关的必要支持。
Each of the above positions will lead and act as mini organizing committees, concentrating on their responsibilities for the 4th annual GtB 2010 event: “PLANT YOUR SEED”.
