Beijing's landfills are getting full fast! Reduce the "trash" you throw away by purchasing products with minimal packaging. Look for reusable, recyclable, and biodegrable items and remember to carry your reusable shopping bags!

How about coming out for a nice day in Yanqing district of Beijing
province? It is North-West of the city center and a great place for
cycling. The government wants to promote cycling sport. We have been
talking with the Beijing cycling association for promoting cycling sport
and so they are arranging this bike event on June 18th including a road
bike race, mountain bike race as well as a leisure ride in the green
countryside. So we cyclists should be happy and I am happy!
So please come out to show your passion for cycling. You can bring your
family and friends and just have a leisure ride or of course also race.
It would be cool to get more women to race as the cycling association
called me yesterday and mentioned that the female sign-ups are low and
they might cancel the separate category for the women. Please girls, let
us not let this happen!

There is also a bus taking everybody for 30RMB and your bike for 20RMB
there and back. The race is 50RMB and it is just 20RMB for the cycling
