点废成绿 Greening the Beige (GtB) is an eco-minded arts collective and not-for-profit community network dedicated to nurturing awareness of environmental issues. 点废成绿 GtB promotes and celebrates earth friendly artists and organizations in Beijing.

Bidding Terms:
i) No questions asked if the winning bid is at least the equivalent of US$280, the current value of a ticket (this is to prevent resale/scalping, and to maximize fundraising benefit)
ii) If the winning bid is less than US$280, the ticket should go to someone who can't afford more or wouldn't attend the event otherwise. Essentially, the anonymous ticket donor would love to read a good story about who you are and how you'll enjoy this 'scholarship' ticket while contributing to GtB.

Where Will Your Money Go?
Since GtB started in 2007 it has existed purely as a volunteer-run operation. However, our growth and development over the last 2 years has expanded our vision of community service in Beijing for the future years to come. Currently we are seeking funds to continue doing what we do and to do it well. All bids for the silent auction prizes and other artwork sales will go to support the following:
GTB ONLINE:
The website (under development) is a public tool to post news, information, events, artwork, and even job listings focused on green living in BJ. Slowly but surely we are building our online community, with the plan to maintain a lively interactive green community space on the web(http://www.greeningthebeige.org).
GTB ANNUAL EVENT:
Starting in 2007, returning in 2008, and preparing for 2009, Greening the Beige exists to host an annual event that connects innovative “green” artists, musicians, filmmakers, designers, experts, researchers, and entrepreneurs based in the capital, in an effort to connect and strengthen the ties between the diverse cross-section of green Beijingers.
